The Anzures Martial Arts Story, History, and Legacy:
1973 ... began training as a white belt at Drayton Plains Koei-Kan Karate-Do.
1977 ... earned his Shodan, 1st degree Black Belt.
1982 ... took over the Drayton Plains Koei-Kan school from Jack Sabat.
Throughout the early 80's ... competed in Professional Full Contact 
Kickboxing, eventually earning a ranking of 5th in the world.
1986 ... moved the original Koei-Kan Dojo to a larger location, this would be
known as Dojo #2. For those that stated they trained under Sensei Anzures, they would be asked, "Which Dojo did you start at?"
1987 ... left the Koei-Kan Karate organization and formed his own style of
Koei-Kan, incorporating more kickboxing into the program. This was the very beginnings of what would be known as the Anzures Koei Kan system.
1988 ... assistant instructor Kevin Johannes opens TASK Karate, teaching the  "Original Koei-Kan" system.
Ending the 80's ... more and more kickboxing was being taught to students
1991 ... moved to the final school; Dojo #3. Changes are made to requirements, techniques, and the belt ranking structure. Guest instructors are brought in to expand the knowledge of Aikido, Judo, and Jujitsu. This is what solidifies Anzures Koei Kan as it's own system.  
1992 ... symbol of the system changes to incorporate the facets being taught in Anzures Koei Kan; Karate, Kickboxing, Self-Defense, Judo, and Aikido.
1994 ... dojo business name is changed to A&A Martial Arts, which stand for Anzures' two oldest children; Anthony and Andy.
1996 ... Chris Thomas opens Thomas' Martial Arts teaching Anzures Koei Kan.
1997 ... Anzures Koei Kan is taught to members of 10th Special Forces Group.
1998 ... Eric LaLone teaches Anzures Koei Kan at his new school in Colorado Springs; The Defense Institute.
1999 ... system symbol is changed once again taking out the original Koei-Kan cherry blossom and replacing it with the kanji for Budo on a red disk.
Throughout the 90's ... Kickboxing was a major part of the curriculum with a number of students competing in full-contact matches.  
2000 ... Anzures Koei Kan is incorporated into a video instructional series called Correctional Control Tactics.
2001 ... belt system is changed to replace tape stripes on green and brown belts with patches signifying the rank.
2003 ... Sensei Anzures promoted to Hachi-dan; 8th degree Black Belt and awarded the title of Hanshi. Discussions begin on changing the system name to Bushido Sei Shin [Way of the Warrior Spirit].
2005 ... Gary Lovins brings Anzures’ Koei-Kan to Sova Martial Arts.
2006 ... Eric LaLone begins overhauling the requirements of Anzures Koei Kan with permission from Hanshi Anzures. This is the beginning of the system that would be Sei Shin Jitsu
2007 ... Inasio Anzures retires from teaching, the first time.
2009 ... Bushido Sei Shin Jitsu is officially established. Anzures is recognized as the Head of the System, with Eric LaLone and Gary Lovins developing curriculum, promoting the new system, and dealing with operations. 
Early 2010's ... LaLone and Lovins spread Sei Shin Jitsu nationwide.
2012 ... Johannes (former assistant) transfers over to Sei Shin Jitsu with his black belt students. All the promotions in the new system are overseen by LaLone and Anzures.
2013 ... FreeStyle Jujitsu is developed to teach a safe, age appropriate alternative to MMA competition with NO HEAD contact.
2014 ... Dave Russell teaches Sei Shin Jitsu at his school in Atlanta, GA; Shizoku Martial Arts.
2015 ... Stick Jitsu, teaching locking and striking with different lengths of sticks, is developed for Self-Defense applications.
2016 ... The new Sei Shin Jitsu headquarters is founded at Empower Training Center and Matt Baldwin opens Warrior Martial Arts, teaching Sei Shin Jitsu.
2017 ... Troy Spees brings his school; Tenchikan Martial Arts into the Sei Shin Jitsu lineage.
2017 ... Hanshi Inasio Anzures is celebrated at his 40 years a Black Belt awards seminar and banquet. 1977 - 2017
2017 ... Shortly after the 40 year celebration ... Anzures retires once again from teaching. He turns over the Bushido Sei Shin Jitsu system to Eric LaLone. This makes LaLone the official Head of the System.
